The story of Cock Robin was first published in 1744, though its beginnings have been traced back as early as the 15th century. This poster is from the cover of an old linen book from the early 1900's, showing the Sparrow with his bow and arrow. The story depicts the wedding of Cock Robin and Jenny Wren, followed by the tragedy of Cock Robin's heroic but accidental death. Linen texture is printed on the flat, smooth paper, giving it the look of a linen print.
