The 1939 New York World's Fair was the first future-based exposition. Visitors were treated to scenes and tech from the "world of tomorrow." The "Dawn of a New Day" slogan proved to be quite ominous as the world was also bracing for the beginnings of WW2. The Fair accommodated over 44 million visitors over two seasons.
This poster is a detailed reproduction of a real, original map from the 1939 exposition. It has such a nostalgic, vintage feel. The only remaining building from the fair is the New York City Building (#13) - now known as Queens Museum. Such a cool piece of New York history!
