This map comes from a 1941 brochure for the New York Central System railroad. The company began in 1853, was purchased by Cornelius Vanderbilt in 1864, and operated over 26,000 miles of track at its height in the 1920's. In 1967, the New York Central published its last timetable, as it would soon merge with the Pennsylvania Railroad.
Popular attractions such as the Maid of Mist, the Great Whirlpool, the Aerial Tramway, Brock's Monument, and the Falls View Station are included in the map. A wonderful piece of history that would look great in any room.
